Melting point of wax In this experiment, we determine the melting point of wax from its cooling curve which is the temperature at which the substance change its state from solid to liquid.
Equipment:
- Test tube.
- Metallic base.
- Metallic stand.
- Metallic clamp for the test tube.
- Water path (Hot plate + boiler made from stainless steel).
- Digital stopwatch.
- Thermometer.
- Paraffin wax.
