FLUID MECHANICS PRODUCTS

The branch of fluid mechanics studies the laws of the behavior of fluids at rest (fluid statics) or in motion (fluid dynamics) and their interaction processes with solid bodies. The fluids can be found everywhere in the everyday life, from the air that sur- rounds us, the water in the pools and for irrigation, the hydraulic system that allows us to brake in our car, heating or air conditioning, to our own blood system.

Main Hydraulic Unit

The main hydraulic unit is a bench allowing the water supply in a closed circuit, the determi- nation of the volumetric flow rate as well as positioning device on the worktop of the base module and collecting of the dripping water.

Fluid Properties Trainer

Fluid properties trainer is used to conduct experiments in the field of hydrostatics, offering a wide range of experiments. The trainer has its own air and water supply, the closed water circuit includes a supply tank with submersible pump.

Methods of Flow Measurement

There are several ways to measure the flow of fluids in pipes, with FU-003 we can study these various methods for measuring flow in the pipe system and apply them in practice.

Energy Losses in Piping Elements

The trainer is used to investigate and visualise the pressure losses in pipe elements and also can be used to estimate how different pipe geometries affect the flow.

Losses in a Pipe System

Losses in a pipe system trainer allowing the study of the pressure losses in pipes, piping ele- ments and shut-off devices. In addition to using the differential pressure method to deter- mine the flow rate.

Pipe Friction for Laminar/Turbulent Flow

Pipe Friction for Laminar/Turbulent Flow educational unit FU-006 enables the students to study the relationship between pressure loss due to fluid friction and velocity in the pipe flow.

Pipe Networks Trainer

Pipe networks trainer (FU-007) is important in the construction of pipelines as it is used to de- termine the pressure and flow rate in complex piping systems.

Bernoulli's Principal Unit

Bernoulli’s Principal unit is used to explain Bernoulli’s principle by determining the pressures in a Venturi nozzle.

Measurement of Jet Forces Unit

In measurement of jet forces unit FU-009 jet forces are generated and then studied with the aid of a water jet that acts on and is diverted by an interchangeable deflector.

Orifice & Free Jet Flow

Orifice and free Jet Flow educational unit is a benchtop unit (FU-010) that allows the students to study and visualize the profile of a water jet.

Free Discharge Apparatus

Free discharge apparatus FU-011 is used to determine the pressure losses at different flow rates which results from the jet deflection upon entry into the opening and the wall friction in the opening.

Vortex Formation Apparatus

A vortex is a circular flow of a fluid caused by sufficiently large velocity gradients. The vortex formation apparatus (FU-012) allows Students to produce and study free and forced vortices.

Stability of Floating Bodies

Stability of floating bodies experimental unit (FU-016) can be used to study the stability of a floating body and to determine the meta center graphically with the aid of a rectangular pontoon floating in water

Plate Weirs Apparatus

Plate weirs apparatus (FU-017) contains two different plate weirs as sharp-crested weirs, the weirs are installed and screwed in place into the main hydraulic unit FU-001.

Bench-Top Flume Trainer

Bench-top flume trainer (FU-018) can be used to visualize the water flow behavior around drag bodies and flow phenomena in open channels.

Centrifugal Pump

Centrifugal pump educational unit (FU-019) allows the students to find the characteristics of a centrifugal pump.

Series & Parallel Configuration of Pumps

Series and Parallel Configuration of Pumps trainer (FU-020) allows the students to find the characteristics of pumps, working alone or in series or parallel.

Hydraulic Ram-Pumping Using Water Hammer

The abruptly interrupting the water flow can cause water hammer in the pipeline. This is undesired effect specifically in special equipment (hydraulic ram) to raise water to a higher level.

Flow Meter Trainer

The flow meter trainer (FU-022) is used to examine different principles of operation of flow meters used in flow measurement and compare between them depending on the medium and application.

Cavitation Demonstration Educational Unit

Cavitation refers to the formation of vapor bubbles in flowing fluids due to strong low pressure, the causes and effects of it are one of the most important subjects in any course on fluid mechanics as it can damage machines and hydraulic systems.

Water Hammer in Pipes

knowledge about the emergence of water hammer is an important aspect of designing pipework systems as they can cause severe damage to piping, fittings and system components.

Fluid Mechanics & Piping Trainer

The fluid mechanics and piping trainer (FU-025) allows a variety of experiments for flow, pressure measurement and the determination of pressure losses and pressure curves in different pipe elements.

Determination of the settling Velocity

The settling velocity of solids in fluids is an important factor in fluid mechanics and process engineering.

Aerodynamics & Fluid Mechanics Trainer

The Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics Trainer (FU-027) is a bench-top wind tunnel offers a complete system ready for aerodynamic experimentation.

Pascal's Principal Apparatus

Pascal’s principal apparatus (FU-028) is a trainer that is designed to demonstrate Pascal’s principle.

Hydraulic Flow Demonstrator Trainer

The Hydraulic Flow Demonstrator trainer (FU-029) is a free-standing accessory to the main hydraulic unit (FU-001) which enables hydraulic phenomena associated with the flow of water through both open channels and closed conduits to be set up quickly, easily and visually demonstrated.
