FLOW METER DEMONSTRATION

EXPERIMENTAL CAPABILITIES:
  1. Determination of the error in flow measurements using the Venturi meter.
  2. Determination of the “C” factor in the Venturi.
  3. Determination of the error in flow measurements using the orifice plate.
  4. Determination of the “C” factor in the orifice plate.
  5. Comparison between the Venturi, orifice plate and flow meter.
FLOW METER DEMONSTRATION

Flow meter demonstration unit is very important in measurement technology. There are different several ways to measure the flow of fluids in pipes.
These instruments are designed with transparent cases to visualize how they operate and the function of each one. This module consists of a venturi meter, a flow meter (Rotameter) and an orifice plate meter installed in a series configuration to permit a direct comparison. There is four pressure tapings connected to a panel of manometer tubes, which incorporates an air inlet valve connected with air vent. Flow control valve permits the variation of the flow rate through the circuit and the adjustment in conjunction with the hydraulic bench. Control valve allows the system static pressure to be varied. The water is supplied to the unit from hydraulic bench and the volumetric tank is used to measure the actual flow rate.
