FLOW VISUALIZATION APPARATUS
FLOW VISUALIZATION APPARATUS allows students to study the two-dimensional flow and the flow profile through the different shapes at low Reynolds number.
The apparatus consists of a base plate with mounted glass plate. The plate is clamped onto and seal by a number of wing nuts. The water passes with a row of small dye inlet holes and dye streams can be produced. The flow rate of dye is controlled by the height of the dye tank. The well and sink arrangements are controlled by four small taps on each side of the apparatus, to provide a sink, source or doublet in any combination. The streamlines can be clearly observed on the glass plate. The water is supplied and the flow measured using the hydraulic bench.
