Hydrostatic pressure apparatus has been designed to introduce the concept of center of pressure of an immersed surface in fluid.
Also this module can be used to measure the static thrust exerted by a fluid on a partially and fully submerged surface. It consists on a quadrant assembled on the arm of a scale that swings around an axis. When the quadrant is introduced in the tank of water, the force that acts on the front surface, flat and rectangular, will exercise a momentum with regard to the supporting axis. The swinging arm has a pan and an adjustable counter balance. The tank has adjustable supporting legs that determine its proper leveling. It has a drainage valve. The level reached by the water in the tank is indicated in a graduated scale.
