Magnetic susceptibility experiment we can determine the permeability µ and susceptibility Xm for a metal.
Studying the magnetic field generation for a coil with and without a core.
Equipment:
- Coil with open core and known turn numbers.
- Metallic core to be fixed inside the coil.
- A base for the coil.
- Reversing key.
- AC/DC power supply (0-12) volt-2 ampere.
- Digital multi meters.
- Cables.
- Scaled magnetometer (360°).
- Scaled wooden base 1 meter.
